The Myth
Philemon and Baucis were an elderly couple in Greek mythology who showed great hospitality to Zeus and Hermes, disguised as travelers. Unlike their neighbors who turned the gods away, Philemon and Baucis welcomed them warmly into their humble home. As a reward for their kindness, the gods spared their lives when a flood destroyed the town, and they granted their wish to die together, transforming them into intertwined trees upon their death, symbolizing with this way their eternal love and unity.

We used 65ft/20m of copper and brass wire and 100 Aquamarine and Rose Quartz crystal chips to create this 2-in-1 wire trees. Its construction, especially the trunk and roots require a lot of strength and skill to take this form of the intertwining trees.
